Juanita McKinney Trivett, age 80, of Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Juanita was a native of Carter County and was a daughter of the late Estella McKinney. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Joseph Trivett.

Juanita worked many years at Levi Strauss and was a member of Old Horseshoe Freewill Baptist Church. She was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by one son, Ricky Trivett, of Elizabethton; one granddaughter, Amanda Cross and husband Adam and one great granddaughter, Emily Cross, of Elizabethton; two step daughters, Wanda Trivett McKinney and her four children, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, of Flint, Michigan, and Pansy Trivett Harrison and her two children, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, of Little Milligan; one sister, Barbara McKinney Clawson and husband Robert Clawson, Jr. and family of Granite Falls, NC.

A service to honor the life of Juanita McKinney Trivett will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Ronald Edwards, officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Saturday.

The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Haskel Broyles, Ernest Oliver, Ernest Oliver, Jr., David Wilson, Gary Hughes, Gary Hughes, Jr., Adam Cross, Joe Clawson and Roger Clawson.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the Paralyzed Veterans Fund, P.O. Box 758532, Topeka, KS 66675-8532.
