June Pearl Street, age 89, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2018 in the Johnson City Medical Center, surrounded by her family. June was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee to the late Thomas and Hettie Sims Hoss. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Clifford Street; three sisters, Goldie Taylor, R.V. Shull and Barbara Snyder; and one brother, Tom Hoss.

June had worked as a head cashier at Wright’s Supermarket and was a member of Milligan Freewill Baptist church, where she sang in the church choir. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and working outside in her flowers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Stephen M. Street and wife Elizabeth, of Elizabethton; two grandsons, Lake Street and Kaden Street, both of Elizabethton; and one sister, Sue Lyons, of Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A service to celebrate the life of June Pearl Street will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 29, 2018 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Mark Street, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Sunday. Music will be under the direction of the Milligan Freewill Baptist church choir.

The committal and entombment will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 30, 2018 in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Lake Street, Kaden Street, Jimmy Oxendine, Eddie Hobbs, Mitchell Davidson, and Danny Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be June’s friends and neighbors, members of Milligan Freewill Baptist church, and members of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 10:15 AM on Monday, to go in procession.

The family would like to especially thank the nurses and staff of Johnson City Medical Center, floor 4300 and 7400, the nurses and staff of NHC in Johnson City and to Mountain States Hospice, for the loving care received by June during her illness.
