Junella Hardin, Elizabethton, passed away, Friday, August 12, 2016 in the Pine Ridge Care Center after a brief illness. Born in Inman, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Walter Wesley and Hazel Davidson Hardin. She had lived most of her life in Elizabethton. June was a graduate of Unaka High School. She was a Secretary at C.B. Johnson’s Home Furnishing for several years. June was a Charter Member of Unaka Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline “Honey” Berry, two brothers: Walter and Eddie Hardin and a special niece, Cindy Hardin.
Survivors include her care givers, Aggie & Bobby Lyons. Her Nieces & Nephews: Joel Hardin and wife Jan, Keith Berry and wife Karen, Randy Berry, Brian “Toddy” Berry, Gina Richards and husband Scott, Elizabeth McCrary and husband Lee. Several great nieces & nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Tom Maines officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by the New Liberty Quartett. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday will be: Joel Hardin, Randy Berry, Brian Berry, Vernon Hardin, Bobby Lyons, Mark Revis, Tim Campbell, Wayne Peeks and T.J. Little. A special “Thank You” to the staff of Pine Ridge Care Center, Dr. Vivian Clark and Dr. Kenny Hopland for the excellent care she has received. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
