Kathy Shelburne, age 56, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from her residence. Kathy was born in Elizabethton to Nyoka Oliver Shelburne, of Elizabethton and the late Silas Shelburne. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two uncles, Warren Oliver and Bill Shelburne; an aunt and uncle-in-law, JoAnn and Tom Vinson and another aunt, Carol Smith.
Kathy had worked in manufacturing and attended Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, yard work, gardening and being outdoors.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her mother, Nyoka Shelburne; her sister, Debbie Shelburne Mariano; two nieces, Jessie Shaffer and husband Mike and Jackie Mariano; a nephew, Josh Mariano; a great niece, Madelyn Shaffer; a great nephew, Juleyan Shaffer; her uncles, Charles Oliver and wife Freida, Richard Oliver and wife Phyllis and Albert Oliver and wife Patti; her aunts, Loretta Pierce and husband Dean and Pam Campbell and husband Richard; an uncle-in-law, Bobby Smith; and an aunt-in-law, Carole Shelburne. Numerous cousins and friends also survive.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in the Fireside Room of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton or at the residence at any time.
The graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Reverend Mark Fowler, officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
