Lesia Taylor, age 55, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from Kindred Hospital in Nashville, TN, following an extended illness.
Lesia was born in Carter County to the late Spencer and Helen Franklin Ward.
Ms. Taylor graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1976 and also graduated from East Tennessee State University. She was a retired Registered Nurse, having worked at Sycamore Shoals Hospital and at Johnson City Medical Center. She was a member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church and was a great G.G.
Survivors include a daughter, Codi Taylor, of Elizabethton; a son, Jesse Taylor, of Elizabethton; two granddaughters, Sydnie Brock and Raygen Lei Brock, both of Elizabethton; one brother, Michael Ward, of Elizabethton; and her special friends, Penny Cole, of Johnson City, and Sheila Hartley, of Elizabethton.
There will be a private funeral service for Leisa with Rev. Randy Johnson, officiating.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family members. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 AM on Saturday.
