Linda Gail (Vance) Taylor was born on June 12, 1947 to Dave and Mae (Brown) Vance. She put up a good fight but her fight here on Earth is over and has went to be home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 22,2015 at Johnson City Medical Center from an extended illness.

Ms. Taylor is proceeded in death in addition to her parents, a brother -n- law Brice Cable, brother Cecil Vance and a sister Pearl (Cable) Hubbard.

Surviving Ms Taylor is a close and dear friend Terry Taylor of Hampton. Daughter Tonya (Taylor) Osborne and husband Homer of Kingsport. Daughter Samantha Vance and fiancé Kyle Fitch of Hampton. Sister Rita Taylor and husband Eddy of Elizabethton. Sister -n- Law Verna Vance of Johnson City. Brother Jay Dee Vance and wife Sharon of Johnson City. Brother Danny Vance and wife Margret of Unicoi. Brother Bobby Vance and wife Shelby of Johnson City. Sister Sonja Banner of Hampton. Several beloved nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

Ms Taylor lived in Carter County most of her life. She was a loving and amazing mother, sister, and friend. She was of Freewill Baptist faith. She was a retired seamstress from East Tennessee Undergarment.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ray Stockton officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Kevin Taylor, Donny Davis, David Vance, Eddy Taylor, Donnie Davis and Allen Tolley.Honorary Pallbearers will be: Terry Taylor, Homer Osborne, Kyle Fitch, Jim Vance, Samuel (Glen) Vance, Waylon (Jody) Vance, Danny Vance, Jr., Matthew Vance and friends of the community, The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Special thanks to Dr. Frank Johnson of Johnson City Internal Medicine which cared for Ms Taylor for many years. Her care giver Juanita Sheffield from Heavenly Sunshine. The staff of Mountain States Health Alliance home health care, and the nurses from the 2300 wing of JCMC for the wonderful care they gave her during her final days.
