Linda Kay Leonard, loving mother and wife, age 75, of Elizabethton, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital, following an extended illness. Linda was born in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Harold and Juanita Carver Berry.
Linda retired as a nurse and was of the Baptist faith. She was involved in many areas at Central Elementary School and she started the Head Start Program for the Elizabethton City School System. Linda was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s League and she enjoyed shopping, traveling, flowers and collecting dolls. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving and devoted husband, Dewey Leonard, of the home; two sons, Larry Kent Presley, of Telford and Michael Lynn Presley, of Elizabethton; one sister, Ruth Ann Crowe and Terry, of Elizabethton; one brother, Harold Berry, Jr. and Rita, of Greeneville; two nephews, Brian Crowe and Cindy and Roger Crowe and Renee; and two great nieces, Whitney Crowe and Madilyn Crowe.
A graveside service to honor the life of Linda Kay Leonard will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Raymond W. Amos, Sr., officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the graveside service on Tuesday.
