Linda Townsend, age 50, of Elizabethton, went to join her parents in heaven on Saturday, March 22, 2014 following a brief illness.
Linda passed away at Sycamore Shoals Hospital and was the daughter of the late Rex S. & Marcella Carter Townsend. She was born in Washington County and was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. She was a member of Elizabethton Church of Christ.
Linda is survived by a brother, Dale S. Townsend, Johnson City; several aunts, uncles, cousins; a dear friend, Tammy Riddle and her beloved dog, Dillon.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. A service to celebrate Linda’s life will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM on Tuesday with Mr. Roby Ellis, Minister officiating. Singers will be provided by Elizabethton Church of Christ. The graveside service and interment will follow the funeral at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
