Lula “Maude” Sisk passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014. She was a loving wife, mom, meme and friend. She especially enjoyed her great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and gardening. She was a long time employee of Smithdeal’s Supermarket. She was a faithful and active member of First Christian Church for over sixty years. She loved her Church family especially the ladies in her Circle and Sunday School Class. She enjoyed giving and getting hugs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Sisk; a son-in-law, Duane M. Kelly, Sr.; parents, Granville and Myrtle Lester; brother, Marvin Lester and sisters, Dorthory Lester, Nell Stiltner, Ruth Methana and Katherine Stilwell.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Sisk Kelly, grandsons, Duane Michael Kelly, Jr. and wife Kris and Robert Allan Kelly, Sr. and wife Donna; great-grandchildren, Dorrah Katherine Kelly, Fletcher Thomas Kelly and Robert Allan Kelly, Jr.; a sister, Virgina Hankins; a sister-in-law, Louise Lester and a very special grandniece, Becky Witt. Several nieces, nephews and a very special friend, Ruby Ferguson along with many other close friends including, Peggy Grindstaff, Edna Arnett, Mary Miller, Parlee Simerly and Betty Jean Moore also survive.
A service to honor the life of Lula “Maude” Sisk will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. John H. Smith and Dr. Don Marshall, ministers officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Gene Estep. Interment will follow the funeral service in Happy Valley Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Saturday prior to the service.
