Lulean Elizabeth Dolan Emmert, 95, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in the Pine Ridge Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Roan Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Raymond & Macie Nelson Dolan. Mrs. Emmert was a homemaker who loved working in her garden and cooking. She was a member of the Big Springs Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Arnold E. Emmert, a son: Roy G. Emmert, two grandsons : Kit Brian McQueen and Donnie Emmert and one granddaughter: Renee Birchfield, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include Two Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Mary “Midge” & Kit McQueen and Brenda & Randy Crowe, all of Elizabethton. Five Granddaughters: Melissa Buxton, Donna Vaughn, Kristen Colon, Sharon Tipton and Robin Causby. Two Grandsons: Nathan Crowe and Chris McQueen. Several Great Grandchildren, Several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Glen Layfield, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a very special “Thank You” to the entire staff of Pine Ridge Care Center for the excellent care our mother received during her stay there.
