Maggie A. Galliher, age 89, of Elizabethton, TN, our dear sweet mother, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014, in St. Petersburg, FL, due to complications from a fall in March.
She was the daughter of the late Nick and Tishie Lewis, of Carter County, and in addition to her parents was preceded in death by her husband, Mack T. Galliher; three brothers; and two sisters.
Those left behind to love and cherish her memory are daughters, Patsy Pierce, Elizabethton, Brenda Brown and husband, Jimmy, Johnson City; and son, Nick Galliher, Elizabethton; a grandson, Timothy Pierce, Elizabethton; granddaughters, Angela Black, Johnson City, Jessica Woodruff, Florida, and Jamie Galliher, Bristol; great-grandsons, Angus Black, Johnson City, and Matthew Pierce, Japan; a brother, N.R. Lewis, Florida; and a step-son, Mack Galliher Jr. and family, of West Virginia.
Maggie lived her entire life in Elizabethton, where she was employed by Bemberg and North American Rayon Corporation until her retirement.
She was a wonderful and giving person who could light up a room with her wonderful smile. She loved her entire family and always made everyone feel welcome. Maggie loved cooking, crafts and playing games with family and friends. She will truly be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her and will remain in our hearts always.
A service to celebrate the life of Maggie A. Galliher will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service on Tuesday.
Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
