Margaret Marie Treadway, age 96, of Elizabethton, TN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 8, 2019. A native of Elizabethton, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe Hensley and Irene Pretty Pierce Hensley. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Joseph Paul Treadway; two sons Barry Dean Treadway and Joe Treadway; a daughter-in-law Virginia “Jenny” Isaacs Treadway; two brothers John Hensley and James Hensley and two sisters-in-law Faye Hensley and Helen Hensley.
Marie is survived by her son, Tim Treadway and wife Vickie of Knoxville, TN; two grandsons Lance Treadway and wife Lisa of Elizabethton, Andrew Treadway and wife Leah of Knoxville; two great-grandchildren Annalee Treadway of Elizabethton and Luke Treadway of Knoxville.
Marie greatly loved her church family and was a long time member of the East Side Free Will Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 12:00pm -1:00pm. A service to honor the life of Margaret Marie Treadway will follow at 1:00pm with Reverend Justin Deaton officiating.
The graveside service will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from the men of East Side Free Will Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Ivy Hall Nursing Home for the special care given to her.
