I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Mary Kate Reece Estep, 85, Elizabethton passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 in the Hillview Nursing Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late McDonald & Myrtle Reece. She was retired from the East Tennessee Undergarment Factory. Mrs. Estep was a member of the Roan Street Church of God where she had served as a Sunday school teacher for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy K. Estep who died December 14, 2003 by a sister: Maude Farthing and a brother: Donald Reece. She was an excellent seamstress.
Survivors include Two Sons & Daughters-in-Law; Wayne & Stephanie Estep, Morristown and Glen & Barbara Estep, Johnson City. A brother-in-law: Carl Estep, Elizabethton. Several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ken Bewley officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Sue Tinker and Gene Estep, Organist. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Hillview Nursing Center for the excellent care and love our mother received.
