Mary Louise Shepard Trusler, age 86, a precious, godly mother and grandmother of Elizabethton, TN passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Ivy Hall Nursing Home surrounded by her family. A native of Elizabethton, TN she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtle Lewis Shepard. Ms. Trusler retired from Tri-State Container (Inland Container) with twenty-two years of service. She was an member of Roan Street Church of God and enjoyed her Church activities. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Trusler; a son, Larry Trusler and a grandson, Christian Barker. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Rosa Manning and husband Eddie and Vickie Bryant Chaney and husband Jason; a daughter-in-law, Tracy Trusler; grandchildren, Michelle Barker (Brad), Melissa Bays (Sean), Morgan Wilburn (Benjamin), Tyler Trusler (Rachael), Haley Carr (Josh), Dylan Trusler (Abby), Makayla Perez (Cruz), Kevin Manning, Brian Manning (Leslie) and Javan Chaney; great-grandchildren, Bryce Barker (fiance’ Aimee), Sydney Bays, Tucker Trusler, Thomas Trusler, Samuel Carr and Noah Carr and a special sister, Doris Richardson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mary Louise Shepard Trusler will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 9, 2019 in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with her grandson, Tyler Trusler and Pastor Brien Sturgill officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Monday prior to the funeral service or at the residences of her daughters, Rosa Manning or Vickie Bryant Chaney at other times. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 12:30 P.M. on Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thank you to her caregiver, Kathy Greene and the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home for their loving care to Mary.
