Matthew Christopher Hodges ,45, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born January 13, 1975 in Johnson City. Matthew was a 1994 graduate of Happy Valley high School. Prior to his illness, he was formerly employed at Dollar General and Johnson City Medical Center. He attended Upper Gap Creek Free Will Baptist Church.. He loved to fish, hunt and play video games. Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Sam Jack Hodges.
Survivors include his mother & step-father: Dimple & Clifford Smith. His Aunts: Temple Wyatt and Willie McClain. His special friends: Mark Woodby, Toby Solidayl Tim Campbelland Ivy Woodby.
Graveside Service will be conducted Saturday in Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Bobby Burrow. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
