Maud Largent Russell, 90, Elizabethton, passed away  Tuesday December 24, 2019 at her residence.  Born June 8, 1929 in Roan Mountain to the late Benjamin Frank & Rhoda Ann Smith Largent.  She worked in the Housekeeping Department at Carter County Memorial Hospital for 28 years.  She enjoyed church, family, Dollywood and the Beach.  Mrs. Russell was a member of Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Delmar Russell, a son: Jerry Russell, a grandson: Matthew Russell, her sisters: Nola Woodring, Annabelle Letterman and Bertha Campbell and brothers: Robert, Harless and Oscar Largent.

Survivors include her children: David & Linda Russell and Freida & Walter Williams.  Her Grandsons: Chris & Windy Williams and Adam Russell, Great Grandchildren: Harley Williams and Cody & Ashley Russell.  Her Brother: Cecil Largent. Several nieces & nephews including a special nephew:  Frank Wayne Campbell.  Her constant Companion Spot “Poochie”.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Greer officiating.  Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park.  Music will be provided by Pastor Stephen Harris.  Active Pallbearers will be: Chris Williams, Robert Calloway, Freddy Julian, Sherrill Perry, Cody Russell, Michael(Acey) Ensor and Mike Lowe.  Honorary Pallbearers will be  Her Church Family of Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church and neighbors. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the neighborhood for all their support and prayers during her illness , her church family and Robert Calloway.  The family will receive friends from  1 to 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.  Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.  Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
