Norma Jean Cannon Champion, age 82, of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 29, 2022.

She was born in Carter County, TN to the late Leonard Russell Cannon and Agnes Buckles Depew. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph L. Champion, half-brothers: Robert Depew and Richard Depew, and great grandmother: Callie Buckles.

Jean loved taking care of children and her beloved husband Ralph. She was a member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church where she was an active in her Sunday School Class for many years. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Melissa Champion Frazer, (Lewis) of Knoxville, TN, two step grandsons: Dr. Andrew Frazer, (Elizabeth) and Aaron Frazer, both of Knoxville, TN, Three step great Grandchildren: Madeleine, Thomas and Henry Frazer all of Knoxville, TN. Two surviving sisters-in-law: Ms. Betty Carden of Elizabethton, TN and Ms. Evalena Meredith of Johnson City, TN, several nieces and one nephew, and a special friend, Betty Pritchard.

A graveside service will be held at Happy Valley Memorial Park at 2 pm on June 5th, 2022. Officiating the graveside service will be Pastor Frank Osborn and step-grandson, Dr. Andrew Frazer. The family will receive friends from 12:30- 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation and sincere thanks to her cousin, Sue Bowers, Mr. & Mrs. Ron and Joyce Nash and the Family Life Class of Dixie Lee Baptist Church. Your love, support and prayers over the past years are beyond measure. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Family and Friends will go in procession to the cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website: www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
