The Lord Took Pamela Gwen “Pam” Rambo Hicks, 61, Elizabethton to be with him Monday, September 28, 2015 at her residence after a brief illness. She was a Carter County native. Pam was a 1971 graduate of Unaka High School. She was a member of the Order of Confederate Rose “Wild Mountain Roses” Chapter 11 of Elizabethton. Pam attended Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She was loved by many friends. She was preceded in death by her father: C.W. Rambo.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years Bill Hicks. Her Mother: Lillie Belle Colbaugh Rambo, Elizabethton. A sister: Paula Rambo, Unicoi. A brother: Perry Rambo and wife Debra, Elizabethton. Several Cousins and her dog Missy.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ray Colbaugh and Mr. Randy Carrier officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Dale Williams and Dennis Laws and Gary Melvin, Piper. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sons of the Confederate Veterans. A Memorial Graveside Service will be conducted by the Order of the Black Rose. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence or the residence of her mother Lillie Belle Rambo, Elizabethton.
