Patricia Ann Calloway Bryan, age 69, of the Stoney Creek Community of Elizabethton, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Hillview Nursing Home. Patricia was born on December 23, 1946 to the late Henry and Wanda Calloway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life of 39 years, J.D. Bryan; and a nephew, Jeffery Colt Calloway.
Patricia had worked as a cook at Hermitage Nursing Home and was attended Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed the Golden Group at the church and loved crafts and bingo. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include three children, Ginny Bryan and fiancé, Michael Crusenberry, Stacy Bryan and wife Amy and Wendy Bryan and special friend Paul Langer, all of Elizabethton; six brothers and one sister, Jimmy Calloway and wife Nadine, Henry Calloway, Jr, and wife Judy, Robert Calloway and wife Judy, David Calloway and wife Karen, Dan Calloway and wife Nancy, all of Elizabethton, Jeffery Calloway and wife Linda, of Hampton, and Tammy Hill and husband Greg, of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, John Wesley Bates and wife Brittany, Daniel Bates, and Abigail Bryan, all of Elizabethton; four great grandchildren, Ashton and Kye Bates, of Elizabethton and Connor and Adam Bates, of Telford; a very special niece, Rhonda Taylor; and lots of nieces and nephews, also survive.
A service to honor the life of Patricia Ann Calloway Bryan will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Jack Lloyd and Rev. Bill Greer, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Tuesday; or at the residence of her son, Stacy, 712 Parkway Blvd, at any time.
The graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be her brothers and Greg Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Calloway, Jr. “Duke”. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home at 12:15 PM on Wednesday to go in procession.
