Peggy Shell Usary, 73, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 in the Hermitage Health Center. She was born in Washington County to the late Ernest R. And Mary Edythe Pearman Shell and lived her entire life in Elizabethton. She was a 1960 graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended East Tennessee State University. She was a retired LPN. Peggy was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter: Connie Louise Higgins, Johnson City. A Grandson: Michael Ray Walker, Johnson City. Two Great Grandchildren: Dagan Michael Walker and Luccus James Walker. Several cousins including a special cousin, Nancy Crumley.
A Celebration of life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Tim Tapp and Rev. Ed Talley officiating. Burial will follow the service. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hermitage Health Center, the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Judy Lewis.
