Philip Todd Buck, 45, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a Carter County native. Todd was a 1988 graduate of Happy Valley High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a truck driver with Harmon Ice, Johnson City. He loved golf, fishing, football and was an avid Vol fan.
Todd was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Elizabethton.
Survivors include his wife: Kimberly Wilson Buck; A son: Chase, of the home; His Parents: Jerry Lynn and Frances Louise Humphreys Buck, Johnson City; Three Brothers & Sisters-in-Law: Randy & Tammy Buck and Eric & Jennifer Buck, all of Johnson City, and Anthony & Darlene Buck, Elizabethton; Three Sisters & Brothers-in-Law: Tammy & Paul Carroll, Telford, Lisa & Gary Shockley, Elizabethton, and Amy & Kevin Grindstaff, Johnson City; Several Nieces & Nephews; His special friends: Tim & Brenda Carver.
A Service to Celebrate the life of Todd Buck will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014, in the First Free Will Baptist Church of Elizabethton with the Pastor Nathan Jennings, Pastor Johnny Carney, Pastor Todd Ellis and Rev. Rusty Verran officiating.
Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Mike Carver, Danny Williams, Barbra Elliott and First Freewill Baptist Church Choir. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the church at 1:50 p.m. Saturday, will be: Matt Carroll, Tim Carver, Chuck Russell, Alex Carr, Joe Schockley, Chuck Baker, Adam Reeser and Teddy Tipton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Employees of Harmon Ice, First Free Will Baptist Church family, Members of the Elizabethton Police Department and Craig Nave.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Educational Fund of Chase Buck, ? Kimberly Buck, Carter County Bank (Bemberg Location).
Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps and VFW Post 6975 Bristol.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral service. Friends may also visit with the family at his residence or the residence of his parents, Jerry & Frances Buck.
