Phyllis Ann Hyatt Bare, 73, Johnson City passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Sullivan County, she was a daughter of the late Claude & Cordelia Baird Hyatt. She was a graduate of Mary Hughes High School. Phyllis was a former employee of North Electric and retired from Stewart-Warner. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister: Edna Ellis and two brothers: Bob & C.J. Hyatt.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years: Buster Bare. Her Son & Daughter-In-Law: Michael & Lisa Bare, Johnson City. A Granddaughter: Katey of Bristol. A Grandson: Dalton, Johnson City. Sister: Jean Williams, Piney Flats, Brother: Kenneth Hyatt, Bristol. Several Nieces & Nephews. Her special friends: Red & Alice Land, Mayo, Florida.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ted Muncey officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2015 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Keyla Bare and Amber Brooks. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday will be: Justin Morrell, Joey Gross, Tobby Bare, Jeff Cross, Roby Allen Bare, Bruce Wayne Harkleroad, Dean Bare , John Michael Bare, Bobby Keith Hyatt and Kenneth “Skipper” Hyatt. Honorary Pallbearers will be: John D. Hall, Carl Scott, George Moores, Mike Repass, Michael Miller, Jackie McClaney, Gary Shipley, Michael Stacy and Ronnie Williams. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
