Quinn L. Nave, age 90, of Elizabethton, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the James H. Quillen VA Community Living Center. Mr. Nave was a native of Carter County and was a son of the late Henry and Myrtle Stout Nave. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Lewis Nave, on May 10, 2015; two sisters, Edith Potter and Edna Weinkan; and one brother, Maine Nave.
Mr. Nave retired as a self-employed, electronics technician. He was a member of Doe River Baptist Church and loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a United States Navy veteran, having served in World War II.
Survivors include his son, John Nave, Elizabethton; a grandson, Brett Michael Nave, Nashville, TN; and one brother, Albert Nave. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mr. Quinn L. Nave will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 16, 2015 in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Daniel Fink and Rev. Herman Crumley, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Wednesday; or at the residence at anytime.
The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
