Reba C. Ross, age 85, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at her residence, following an extended illness. Reba was a daughter of the late John B. and Winnie Cress Ornduff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

Mrs. Ross was born in Johnson County, Tennessee, but had lived in Carter County most of her life. She was a former employee of Iodent and was the former owner and operator of Happy Hair Beauty Salon. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Don Ross, of the home; a daughter, Dena Jupin, Augusta, GA; a son, Ronn Ross and wife Donna, Valdosta, GA; one grandson, Chris Jupin and wife Anita, Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Gilbert Ornduff and wife Ann, Elizabethton, and Rufus Ornduff, Columbia, SC; four sisters, Maria Ward, Erma Nidiffer, Sharon Holmes and husband David, and Olga Rice, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Reba C. Ross will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Ron Owens and Rev. Travis Tyler, officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from the men of Grace Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Vivian Clark and Tammy Draper. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton at 2:30 PM on Sunday, to go in procession.
