Robert L. “Bob” McClure, Jr., age 65, of Elizabethton and Johnson City, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 in the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. Bob was born in Elizabethton to the late Robert Leslie McClure, Sr. and Alvena Elizabeth Hart McClure. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David L. McClure.
Bob had worked as a technical assurance manager at SCAPA and enjoyed making stained glass, working on his computer, gardening in his flowers and loved his dogs.
Those left to cherish his memory include his cousin, Marilyn McClure, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and several cousins. He was very much beloved by his many friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Robert L. “Bob” McClure, Jr. will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 3, 2020 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. Music will be under the direction of Marilyn McClure. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.
The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
