Mr. Robert Carr, age 59, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Aaron and Julie Deloach Carr. Mr. Carr retired from American Water Heater. He taught himself to play the guitar and enjoyed playing gospel and country music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Herman Carr on January 9, 2018. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Carr, of the home; four children, Aaron Bailey; Pat Grindstaff and Sherry Heitmann, both of Kingsport, TN and Jeff Mitchell, Bluff City, TN; five grandsons and one granddaughter; five great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons and a sister, Judy Calloway, Elizabethton, TN.
A service to honor the life of Mr. Robert Carr will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 8, 2018 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Jerry Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Sunday prior to the service or at the residence at other times. Graveside and interment will follow the service in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
