Roberta Louise Hilton Casteel, age 86, of Elizabethton, TN went home to be with her Lord Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Hillview Health Center. She was the daughter of the late Ora W. Hampton and Edith Hampton. Roberta loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. She was very outgoing and enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and writing poetry. Roberta was a member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three siblings, Glen, Betty and Charles. Those left to cherish her memory include her five children, Billy Hilton, Becky Hilton and Steve Smith, Mary Hilton, Chuck and wife Sherry Hilton and Samantha Hilton; three grandchildren, Nikki Morton, Ginger Luya (Ian) and Andy Hilton (Diana); four great-grandchildren, Matthew Morton, Allison Morton, Walker Hilton and Will Hilton; sister, Phyllis and Steve Gregg and several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Hillview Health Center and Amedysis Hospice for all their loving care and support during this difficult time.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to St Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
