Ruby Ellen Gregg, 68, 302 N. Lynn Avenue, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at her residence. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John Timbs and Jettie Potter. Ruby was retired from the Housekeeping department of Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was Non-Denominational.
Survivors include Her fiancé: Larry Dean Willis. Two Daughters: Tammy Ollis and Husband Paul, Elizabethton and Rachel Fisher and husband Wayne, Johnson City. Two Grandchildren: Brittney Scott and husband Ben and Justin Fisher. Two Great Grandchildren: Maggie Scott and Isaac Scott and one on the way. Two Brothers: Bobby Ray Potter and wife Sherry, Elizabethton and Vaughn Potter and wife Kathy, Butler.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Robert Fultz officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. will be Wayne Fisher, Vaughn Potter, Brandon Potter, Ben Scott, Billy Harding, Paul Ollis, R.L. Potter and Bobby Potter. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the 3rd floor staff of Holston Valley Hospital, the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Dr. Paul Kramer and staff. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
