        Sherry Denise Gregg, 53, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 as the results of an automobile accident.  She was born October 5, 1965 in Elizabethton.  She was a 1983 graduate of Happy Valley High School.  She was an employee of Ballad Health.  Sherry was a member of West Side Christian Church.  She was a former member of the Elizabethton Choral Club.  Her hobby was riding her motorcycle. She was preceded in death by her mother: Janie Matherly Lewis.

Survivors include her son: Jacob Daniel Deal, Elizabethton.  Her Father & Step-Mother:  Doyle & Doris Gregg, Bristol, Tenn.  Four Step-Brothers: Shane, Mike and Eddie Lewis and Buford Gentry, Jr.  Her close friend: Jim “Bob” Brown, and  Danny Deal the father of her son, Jacob.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Greg Key, Minister officiating.  Graveside Service and Interment will be at 12 Noon Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Happy Valley Memorial Park.  Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 11:20 a.m. Saturday will be: Buford Gentry, Jr., Lenny Tannor, Tommy Milhorn, Jimmy Milhorn, Brian Taylor, Tony Trivett and Danny Deal.  The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Kingsport Police Department and Carter County Sheriff’s Department for the exceptional kindness shown to the family. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.  Friends may also call at any family members home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Sherry to the Washington County, Johnson City Animal Shelter, 2101 W. Walnut St. Johnson City, TN 3760 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.  Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 11:20 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
