Sherry J. Chambers

Sherry J. Chambers, age 68, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord, at her home, following a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late Lonzo and Bea Haun Rainwater and was born in Elizabethton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-three years, Frank Chambers and a son, Gary Chambers.

Mrs. Chambers was a loving mother and proud sports mom who supported her son’s basketball and softball teams (which he coached) by attending the games. She loved her schnauzer, Beau and was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Kenneth Chambers and his wife, Carol, of Elizabethton and her best friend, Vickie Pierce, of Elizabethton.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 19, 2018, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Fireside Room of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton.

A graveside service and interment will be conducted on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Chris Cauble and Pastor Tim Chambers officiating. Active pallbearers will be Chris Cauble, John Ramsey, Todd Grindstaff, Kim Richardson, Rusty Chambers and Carroll Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Bowling, Chuck Carden and Charley Cauble. Those wishing to attend are invited to meet the family at the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
