Shirley Mae Phillips Estep, 85, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Agape Nursing and Rehab Center, Johnson City. She was born September 10, 1936 in St. Charles, Virginia to the late Floyd & Frances Hinkle Phillips. She had lived in Elizabethton for a number of years. She was retired from the USD Forrest Service. Shirley loved to work in her flowers and her garden. She was a member of Tiger Creek Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Lloyd Benson Estep, who passed away February 2, 2013, by a son: Irving Estep and a brother: Gerald Phillips.
Survivors include her children: Teresa Gail Campbell, and Lloyd Estep, Jr. both of Elizabethton. Three Grandchildren: Daniel Estep, Chelsey L. Campbell, and Natalie Ann Estep . One Great Granddaughter: Kyleigh Campbell.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home prior to the service.
