Tammy Hamilton Taylor, age 46, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Tammy was born in Carter County to the late Charles Hamilton and Patsy Irene McKinney Rash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Stephen Holtsclaw.

Tammy graduated from Happy Valley High School and was also a graduate of Northeast State Community College. She worked in the accounting department at Ramey Ford in Johnson City. She attended Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church and was an avid animal lover, she loved her dogs and rabbits.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Lacy Grace Taylor and her dog, Cotton, of the home; a brother, Gary Holtsclaw, of Watauga; her fiancé, Peter Klusky, also of the home; her step father, Terry Rash, of Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Tammy Hamilton Taylor will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Bob Holtsclaw and Pastor Paul Crowe, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday; or at the residence of an aunt, Lela Hamilton, 119 Plazz Avenue, Johnson City, TN, at any time.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Curtis Holtsclaw, Bill Prillaman, Brandon Cordell, Tommy Birchfield, Dominque White, Stephen Holtsclaw, Matt Scott, and Ronnie Holtsclaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Holtsclaw, Wes Holtsclaw, and Dwayne Holtsclaw. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 PM on Saturday.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the Carter County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 134, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
