Thelma June Blackwell

     Thelma June Murray Blackwell, 87, Elizabethton passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 in the Johnson City Medical Center.  A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur J. & Betty Morton Murray.  She was a retired  employee  from the Cafeteria at  Happy Valley High School.  She was a member of Big Springs Church of Christ.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Ralph W. Morton and her second husband John L. Blackwell, a daughter: Judy Blackwell, her brothers: Rayburn, Jack, Steve and Gary Murray. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her boys their wives, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Dale Morton & wife Kim, Ed Blackwell & wife Becky and Ted Blackwell. Her Grandchildren: Summer Morton & husband Rocky King, and Brandi Blackwell.  Her great grandchild:  Kellsie Hicks.   Her brother: Jim Murray, her sister: Grace Murray Laws.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Judy Little and Gene Pisseri. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Blackwell.
