Tina L. Humphrey, 97, Elizabethton passed away peacefully Monday, April 10, 2017 at her residence with her family surrounding her. A native of Carter County, she was born October 24, 1919 the youngest and last surviving child of the late Marion & Mary Gouge Morton. She retired after 33 years of service from North American Rayon Corporation. Tina was a member of the Big Spring Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Carl G. Humphrey who passed away September 29, 1991, two sons: Earl Humphrey in 2008, Sammy Humphrey, 2012 , one infant grandson Blake Carr, her sisters: Jenny, Celia, Lucy and Betty , her brothers: George, Brown , Will, Cliff and Frank Morton.
Survivors include her three daughters & Sons-In-Law: Linda & Rowe Carr, Kay & John McGee and Karen & Terry Tester. Two Daughters-In-Law: Johnnie & Betsy Humphrey. Nine Grandchildren: Jim, Tina, Kristie, John Carl, Robin, Jeremy, Kasey, Terri and Jessica. Twelve Great Grandchildren: Brandy, Shawn, Olivia, Mary Dale, Austin, Landon, Gracelyn, Tori, Bayley, Peyton, Addie & Mia. Several nieces & nephews and her former sister-in-law: Ruby Morton.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Burial will follow the service. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
