Tony Dean Slagle, Sr., 71, Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Clayton & Dare Tester Slagle. He was employed as a Tire Dealer for several years. His hobbies were riding Harley’s, building race cars, running Slagle’s Pasture Bluegrass Festival and Tire Company and being a Carter County native and legend to all the people he helped, being a family man.
Survivors include his children: Tony “Little Tony” Slagle & wife Christon, and Leslie Cumbow & husband Jason and Charles Gardner. His Grandchildren: Brittany Slagle, Phebe & Kaley Ann Slagle, Adrian Largent, A.J. & Zoey Gerwer. His Siblings: Sue Ford & Husband Guy and Barbara Hart.
Graveside Services will be conducted Wednesday in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Josh Scalf officiating. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to his best friends and loving mothers the late Barbara Johnson, and Gail Slagle, wonderful companion Brenda Jensen and good buddy Phillip Jensen.
