     Wayne Cleophus Crisp, 94, Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord & Savior, Wednesday August 21, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. A native of Robbinsville, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Joel & Nannie Orr Crisp. He was the last of nine children. He had lived in New Jersey for several years before coming to Elizabethton in 1975.  He was employed at Summers Taylor for 24 years as a heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member of Local 825, Operating Engineers in New Jersey. He was a member of Keystone Masonic Lodge # 153 in New Jersey. Wayne was a member of Valley Forge Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Nellie Humphrey Crisp and a son Buddy Crisp.

Survivors include a son: Joel Crisp and Judy Vines who he considered his daughter. Grandchildren: Sharon Wright & Chris and Chelsey Francis & Mark. Great Grandchildren. Isaiah Vines, Timothy Clawson, Camden Wright, Easton Francis, Oakley Francis and Brayden Vines. Several nieces & nephews. His special friends: Tom Franklin, Susan & Dennis Berry and David Siebenaler “The Little Preacher”.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with David Siebenaler Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Chris Flannery, Tom Franklin, James Honeycutt, Mike Malone, Tim McInturff and Jack Presnell, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be employees and former employees of Summers-Taylor. A very special “Thank You” for all the love and care shown to him by Chris, Naomi & Frankie Flannery, employees of Caris Health Care, Hillview Health Center and the staff of 2nd floor, Sycamore Shoals Hospital.  Masonic Honors will be conducted by Dashiell Masonic Lodge # 238. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at his residence.
