William Arthur Brumitt

(Bill) William Arthur Brumitt, age 82, a loving husband, father and grandfather of Johnson City, TN joined his wife and loved ones to be in the presence of the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2018 in NHC Healthcare Johnson City. A native of Carter County, TN he was the son of the late James and Rebecca Coomer Brumitt. He worked as a purchasing agent and was also the manager of Revco Drug for nine years. He was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. Mr. Brumitt enjoyed singing gospel music and had served as youth leader for Good Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Elyria, OH.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-six years, Martha Sue Chrisman Brumitt. Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Eddie Brumitt and wife Trudy and Cheryl Wetzel and husband Andrew all of Johnson City and grandchildren, Ashley Brumitt, Britton Brumitt and Anna Wetzel.

The family will hold an inurnment ceremony for (Bill) William Arthur Brumitt at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Nathan Jennings officiating. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 A.M. on Saturday.

The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M.
