Paul Clinton Crumley

Mr. Paul Clinton Crumley, 90, of Elizabethton, passed away with his family at his side, on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home following a lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

He was the son of the late Robert and Ida Campbell Crumley and was born in Elizabethton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Steve Crumley, Richard Falor; three brothers; and five sisters.

Mr. Crumley was a veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII.

He also served his country in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a member of the Capt. Lynn H. Folsom Post #2166 and the C Street Church of Christ.

Mr. Crumley is survived by his wife, Jacklyne Martin Crumley, of the home; four sons, Kenneth W. Crumley and his, wife, Jill, N. Canton, OH, Dale C. Crumley and his wife, Marcia, Green, OH, Danny L. Crumley and his wife, Lisa, Canal Fulton, OH, and Robert P. Crumley, Elizabethton; two daughters, Darlene Estep, Kingsport, Diane Herren and her husband, Jerry, Riverview, FL; three sisters, Jean McQueen and her husband, Ivan, Bobbie Shouse, all of Elizabethton, Joyce Tiffany and her husband, Donald, Durham, NC; thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel on Saturday, March 26, 2011, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and at the home at other times.

The funeral service for Mr. Crumley will be conducted on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at 12:30 PM in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, Elizabethton, with Mr. Roby Ellis, Minister, officiating.

Committal and Entombment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Mausoleum of Peace. Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Crumley, Dale Crumley, Danny Crumley, Robert Crumley, Warren Crumley and Bryan Estep. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor and Judy Deloach. Military honors will be accorded by the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Our family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home whose loving care of Paul will always be in our hearts. Also a thank you to the ICU Nurses of Sycamore Shoals Hospital for the care shown to Paul.
