Mrs. Ruby Lillian Taylor Morris, 94, of Gray, formerly of the Biltmore Community of Elizabethton, has eagerly waited for her heavenly white robe. On Monday, June 25, 2012, she was clothed in her robe just before midnight at the Wellmont Hospice House of Bristol.

Mrs. Morris was the daughter of the late Henry William and Sarah Fine Campbell Taylor and was born in Carter County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Morris, in 1977; and her brothers, Harley, Merley, Robert and Luther Taylor.

She was a member of Borderview Christian Church and was a devoted woman of faith. She loved to sew, especially her quilts.

She is survived by two daughters, Faye Morris Barnes and her husband, Rick, Greeneville, TN, Gail Morris Aurelio and her husband, Joseph, Gray, TN; her step-grandchildren, Patrick, Michele and Joseph Aurelio, Las Vega, NV; and several in-laws, Virgie Taylor, Thelma Taylor, Lucy Morris, AB and Florence Harrison and Clifford and Joyce Vandeventer. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Morris will be conducted on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 7:00 PM in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, Elizabethton, with Mr. Kirk Langston, and Dr. Wayne Emery officiating.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday prior to the service.

The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Friday, June 29, 2012, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Fred Smith, Gerald Holly, Ray Markland, Randy Bateman, Randy Carrier, Rick Richardson, Joel Norris, Howard Bowers, and Larry Dickison. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Gerald Tribble, Bill Tribble, Steve Morris, William Price, Jack Tribble, Larry Morris, Jim Tribble, Joe Price, James Parlier and Carmen Vandeventer. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 AM Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Wellmont Hospice House-Bristol, 280 Steeles Road, Bristol, TN 37620; or Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Hwy, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
