Allen Brooks Hall, age 24, Jonesborough, passed into the arms of Jesus, on November 10, 2010.
He was the son of the late Michael and Cindy Hall and the son of James and Jackie McElyea. Beside his parents, Michael and Cindy Hall; he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Violet Hall; and his “Ninne,†Juanita Warren.
He was a 2004 graduate of David Crockett High School and was currently enrolled as a full time student at Northeast State Community College, where he was pursuing an electrical degree. He played football and soccer at David Crockett High School and was listed on two separate occasions in the Who’s Who in American High School Students. He came to know the Lord in 1999.
Allen had many friends that he loved to get together with to play soccer, frisbee and frisbee golf. He had started playing golf. Allen was there for his friends anytime they needed him; he was a loving and caring person. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was a precious son who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his parents, James and Jackie McElyea; a brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Kendra McElyea; sister and brother-in-law, Shane and Tammy Riddell; two half-brothers, Michael Hall and Ryan Flemming; Grandmother, Jean Brooks; Uncle Rudy Brooks; Nephews, Cody Riddell, Damien, Dalton and Devin McElyea; a niece Dierra (Gabby) McElyea; his special one, Brandy; and his little buddy his cat, Fraffe; also several uncles, aunts and cousins.
The funeral service for Allen Brooks Hall will be conducted at 8 PM Saturday November 13, 2010, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Minister Randall Carrier and Rev. Roy Lowe Jr. will officiate.
The graveside committal service will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be: Will Meyers, Nate Fowler, Lee Williams, Josh Cole, Cody Riddell, Damien McElyea and Jonathan Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Sampson and Kenneth Simerly, who are serving in Afghanistan, also Matt Keller, Jessie Jones, Jerry Oler and numerous more friends. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 PM Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Saturday prior to the service.
