Beatrice S. Robinson

Beatrice Fair Robinson, 99, Hermitage Health Center, Elizabethton, passed away there Saturday, October 15, 2011, after an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Charles S. and Nancy Katherine McCloud Fair. Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifford Robinson; four sisters, Mrs. Ada Bowers, Mrs. Pauline Cannon, Mrs. Ina Blevins and Mrs. Barsh White; and four brothers, Howard, Don, Elbert and Eugene Fair.

Survivors include her special nieces and nephew, Shirley Curde and husband Bruce, Nancy White and David Bowers; many other nieces and nephews and a great-aunt to many nieces and nephews; her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Robinson and Marjorie Robinson; and her special friends, Keith and Becky Raulston, Suzanne and Jay Robbins, Penny and Rick Baker and Mildred McCall.

Funeral services for Mrs. Robinson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 17, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Brent Nidiffer and Mr. Don Marshall, ministers, officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Gene Estep, organist. Active pallbearers will be Keith Raulston, Bob Brown, Jeff Case, Leonard Febuary and Norman Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Elliott, Millard Fitzsimmons, Delbert Loudermilk and Maurice Shell. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Fidelis Class of First Christian Church and the staff and friends of Hermitage Health Center. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of Shirley and Bruce Curde, Elizabethton. To those who prefer, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Robinson to the First Christian Church Building Fund, 513 Hattie Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
