Bertha Orean Magee, 86, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011, in the Johnson City Medical Center.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Edward & Rachael Koerner. She had lived in Elizabethton for a number of years. Mrs. Magee was a member of the West Side Christian Church and the Ladies Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a Pink Lady at Sycamore Shoals Hospital for several years, and was a previous President and Vice President. She loved to knit and she made hats for new born babies at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

Bertha loved to fish and spend time on her boat.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Magee, December 29, 2005, by a sister: Lillian Brehme; and a nephew, Steven Magee.

Survivors include Two Sons: Michael Magee, of the home, and John Magee, Johnson City; Three Grandsons: Travis Magee and wife, Erica, Alex and Adam Magee; Four Great Grandchildren: Cali Rose, Brayden, Aiden and Tanner; Two Sisters: Juanita Junkin, and Edna Mae Ragsdale, both of Louisville, Kentucky; Three Nieces: Susan McSwain and husband, Mike, Hamilton, Ohio, Marsha Cox and husband, Tony, Acworth, Georgia, and Carole Magee, Louisville, Kentucky; A Sister-In-Law: Norma Magee.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Greg Key, Minister, officiating. Music will be provided by Debbie Hodges and Tabitha Blackwell.

Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2011, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday, will be: John Magee, Travis Magee, Alex Magee, Adam Magee, Luther McKeehan, Danny Carver, Dick Oatman, Lynn Simerly, Robbie Johnson and Brent Blackwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Her Church Family.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery.
