Bill Davis, 87, Hampton, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013, in the Hillview Health Center. He was born in Johnson City but lived  his entire life in Carter County. He was a son of the late David H. and Margaret Nave Davis. He was a retired employee of TDOT. He was a member of the Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Doris Norris Davis, May 20, 2011; by two brothers: Parker and Jim Davis; and one sister: Elizabeth Perry. Survivors include a son: Rev. Troy Davis, of the home; One Sister: Mary Rock, Elizabethton; Several nieces &  nephews, including a special nephew: Gary Shipley, Bluff City. Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Shane Waters officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Mr. Jeff Norris. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Sunday, will be: Shon Bowery, Glenn Cates, Bobby Mottern, Woody Lyons, Julius Waters and Arden Kuhn. Honorary pallbearers will be: Members of Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church, Members of Oakdale Free Will Baptist Church and friends & neighbors. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hillview Health Center and his loving baby sister, Mary, for the excellent care that was received. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Davis  to the Life Center, Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church, ? Shirley Colbaugh, 134 Tilson Avenue, Hampton, Tenn. 37658.
