Clint H. Buckles, 78, of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Luther and Pearl Buckles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Clint Jason Paul. Mr. Buckles was a member of Siam Baptist Church. He was a self-employed construction worker.
Survivors include a daughter, Jill Buckles, Elizabethton; a sister, Kenova Vandeventer, Johnson City; and a very special cousin, Ernest Lynn Berry, Elizabethton.
The committal and entombment service for Mr. Buckles will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 1, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Adam Polk officiating. Those who wish to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
