Connie Lynn Servaes Hyder, 77, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord Monday, October 31, 2011, at her residence.

A native of Merced, California, she was a daughter of the late Ted & Lauren Tina Lopez Servaes and had lived in Elizabethton since 1954. She was a homemaker and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her Lord. Connie was of the Seventh Day Adventist Faith.

Survivors include her children: Charles Hyder, Elizabethton, Gary Hyder and wife, Christy, Erwin, and Marlous Black and husband, Charlie, Columbia, South Carolina; Eight Grandchildren: Chris Black, Jennifer Stapleton, Josh Black, Carla Hyder, Justin Hyder, Jordan Hyder, Garrett Hyder and William Hyder; Two Great Grandchildren: Carson Hyder and Kylie Hyder; Her former husband and special friend: Bill Hyder; Two Brothers and One Sister: Cliff and David Servaes and Shirley Rusch, all of California.

A Service to Celebrate the Life of Connie Hyder will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Graveside Service and Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Chris Black, Josh Black, Justin Hyder, Jordan Hyder, Garrett Hyder, William Hyder, Allen Stapleton and Joe Nelson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bill Hyder, Norman White, Mark Bradwell, Danny Tanner, Bobby Tanner, Eddie Baird and David Black.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Friday to go to the cemetery.
