Dallas Payne Caston, 82, of Elizabethton, TN, passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
Mr. Caston was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired employee of the International Paper Company in Natchez, Mississippi. He was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church. He was born in Mississippi and lived in Louisiana before moving to Elizabethton, TN, thirteen years ago. Mr. Caston was the son the late Mase and Mary Hughes Caston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Dennis, Robert, Ray, and Wordell Caston; three sisters, Bobbie McGraw, Lucille McClain, and Bonnie Sorey.
Survivors include his wife of fifty nine years, Ann Caston, of the home; a sister, Kathleen Bledsoe and husband Jimmy, Shreveport, Louisiana; a daughter, Patti Thompson, Bluff City; three sons, Larry Caston and wife Patty, Gray, TN; Gary Caston and wife Beverly of Vidalia, Louisiana; and Kimbell Caston, Buffalo, Missouri; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Caston will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Jackie Cox, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Tuesday. Music will be under the direction of Michael Caston.
The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
