Dollie Moore “Dot†Buck, 71, of Roan Mountain, Tenn., passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Charles A. Cannon Memorial Hospital, Linville, N.C.
She was a daughter of the late Herman and Sudie Birchfield Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William David Buck, and a brother, Jimmy Moore.
Mrs. Buck is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William David and Cathy Buck, Randy Allen and Sherry Buck and Michael Todd and Renee Buck, all of Concord, N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Carole Buck Drake and Jamie Drake, Mount Pleasant, N.C.; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Ann Howell, Johnson City, Tenn., Judy Shell, Roan Mountain, Tenn., and Helen Sluder Unicoi, Tenn.; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Moore, Roan Mountain, Tenn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Buck will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Gerald Holly, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 12:30 until 1 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and husbands of granddaughters, Matt Buck, Josh Buck, Clint Buck, Brandon Drake, Steve Guilmette and Randy Determan.
