Donna Archer Cook, 56, Elizabethton passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 in the Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Marlyn Perry Swallows. She worked at North American Rayon Corporation for several years. She was a member of the Keystone Free Will Baptist Church, Johnson City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas and Paul Hodge.
Survivors include a son: Thomas Brent Archer, Elizabethton. A daughter: Miranda Archer, Johnson City. Two Grandchildren; Marlee Grace Archer and Tate Edward Archer. A Brother: Douglas Hodge, Memphis, Tn. and a sister: Frankie Walsh, Elizabethton. Several cousins and close friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Greer and Rev. Wayne Carr officiating.
Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Homer Shell, Dennis Crowe and Chester White. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of her son. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
