Mrs. Doris M. Branch, 68, Johnson City, passed away Friday, April 28, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Johnson County she was the daughter of the late James Clyde and Elva Arline Dugger Tester. She was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church and worked at Milligan College for 30 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband and soul mate of 48 years, Charles “Mr. B†Branch; and a sister and brother.
Doris was a caring soul who loved everyone and was a peacemaker. She will be missed dearly.
She leaves behind daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly E. and Christopher Stansell, and Angela and Roger Galloway; a son, his wife and her daughter, Curtis Allen, Tamara and Gabby Branch; a granddaughter, “Her Princess†Macayla Hope Wiseman; grandchildren, Justin Brett Wiseman, Brandon Caleb Wiseman, Aaron James Stansell, Benjamin Charles Stansell, Zachery Edwin Stansell, Joshua Curtis Branch and his wife, Misty, Matthew Thomas Branch and Ashley Brooke Galloway; great grandchildren, Jada Anne-Marie Branch and Malachi Curtis Branch; seven loving siblings and their spouses; special relatives, Jason Brett and Stacy Wiseman and Ginger and Hobert Wilson; many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Doris M. Branch will be conducted at 8:00 PM, Monday, April 30, 2012, in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services with Reverend Christopher Stansell and Reverend Randy Helms officiating.
The family will greet friends in the funeral home chapel from 6:00 PM till the service hour.
A Graveside and Committal service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jason Wiseman, Justin Wiseman, Aaron Stansell, Roger Galloway, Robert Tester and Matthew Branch. Honorary Pallbearers are Joshua Branch, Dr. Hoover, nurses: Ashley Wright, Cat Thompson Ramona Thompson, Tabby Luster, Heather Hudson, Vicki Bowen, Tracy Keenan, and CNAs: T.J., Dustin and Heather. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 12:30 PM to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Johnson City Internal Medicine, Melissa Leek, Dr. Hoover and all the staff at Appalachian Christian Village and Johnson City Medical Center 4th Floor Nurses for the care and love shown to Mrs. Branch and her entire family.
