Erhard W. Rohrmoser

image ELIZABETHTON — Erhard W. “Ed” Rohrmoser, 79, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

He was a native of Mexico City, Mexico, and become an American Citizen in 1954. He had lived in Elizabethton since 1974.

Ed was a mechanical draftsman and worked for Great Lakes Research and the Raytheon Corporation. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, receiving the rank of Sgt. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Ed was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church and loved serving his Lord. He was loved by those that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Sue Honea Rohrmoser, May 16, 2003; and a son: Hans Rohrmoser, August 30, 1998.

Survivors include a son: Paul Rohrmoser, Elizabethton; A daughter: L.S. Perry and husband, Michael, of St. Augustine, Florida; A sister: Rosa Bostleman, of Mexico; and two grandsons: Ryan Cox, Jacksonville, Florida, and Andrew Reagan, of Tennessee.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hendrich officiating.

Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Military Honors and Pallbearers will be provided by the American Legion & Tennessee National Guard.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
